Bill & Ted's excellent adventure #5, WNC/East TN 10-27-12

Its that time again. We'll be going to Bumpus cove near erwin TN.
Will meet at Weaverville Bojangles & leave around 8:00 am, it takes 45 minutes to get to the trail from there.
For you guys in TN you can meet us at exit #37 I-26 (park & wait under the bridge for the interstate) we'll be there near 8:45.
This trail is do-able stock with good tires, but I'd recommend 31's or larger and recovery points front & rear.
Lookin for a couple jeeps to join us here, don't be scared.

Don't breed em' if you can't feed em'.

I will probably join in on this ride. Bumpus is just up the road but I've never been.

Seems my nephew's birthday party is this day and I'm obligated to be there. Would it be hard to get turned around and out of there before 12-1 by myself?

You should be fine. I'd say wheel a couple of hours & you could head out early. If you were to need help we all have cell service on this trail.

I have never been to bumpus... How difficult is it? Is there room to go around certain areas that may seem to difficult?

I have 2.5 4cyl 2001 TJ stock gears and 3.25 lift with 31 mud terrains. Would I be equipped to ride with you guys? I only ask these questions because I just don't want to year stuff up... But do want to have fun on some trails with fellow jeepers.

I run 31ish MTRs on a 2" BB. You'll be fine just use four lo. The main problem for you will be the interstate.

Edit: just read your profile, you are minutes from the trail.

None of us want to tear up our jeeps, if you pick the right lines you'll make it just fine. We'll have plenty of spotters. You can drive around most of the difficult sections.
If I had your jeep I would definately take it to Bumpus.
