edit: i dont have and tow points or an extinguisher or a cb, i could get an extinguisher, but no cb or tow points. good or no good?
Keep an eye on CL and the classifieds here for an individual spare or some of the local tire shops may have a used single laying around. I found my last spare in CL for $30 it was a different brand but for a spare and thirty bucks it was great.

Think i will bring the wife's JK since mine has the fender issue at the moment. This may be a crazy question...it looks like from the pic's that the trail is pretty wide open, i.e. no real issues about banging into trees? She dont mind me getting muddy, slingin' dirt and rock, but a scrape down the side from a tree will get me beat about the head and shoulders!

I'm in Hendersonville so if those here, or passing by here to get there want to meet up somewhere and drive up i'm in.

Let me know about the trail width thing though, if i was bringing my jeep it would not be issue, but.....lol
You may want to google Bumpass cove Erwin, tn and watch some of the u-tube videos to get a better idea.

Forgot to add. Since my jeep has cargo room I am allowed to bring a grill. We usually stop and grill hot dogs. Everyone usually picks up a part of the meal and then we cook and eat.

So far we have 0 trail rash from Bumpus, theirs some light overhanging branches here & there but nothing that will damage the paint. No chance at all of banging a tree unless you drive like ray charles. Our general wheeling attitude is to not damage our vehicles.

Don't speak for everyone. I think WNC might have a different opinion on "rash".

Yeah, i was thinking convoy! You SC guys coming up 25 or 26 will be passing right by the Hendersonville exits. It's probably about 45 min? to weaverville? We could meet at the Upward Road exit at 0645-0700? If anyone is interested lemme know...
