The place behind Smileys is illegal as far as I know. I'd rather not post the location of Couch on the public forum since its technically illegal/trespassing unless you have personal permission to ride up there. However, you can search for it on Google maps if you'd like.

When are you coming back up to Fletcher? I have some family down in Anderson that I'll be visiting for the holidays, maybe we could meet up and wheel at the Gulches or something...

Sounds great! We are in Fletcher pretty much every weekend or so. That is where my wife and I grew up! We moved down to Anderson about 6 years ago though. So, 90% of our family lives in the Fletcher/Hendersonville area.

Yeah, let me know. We would be more than happy to head over to the Gulches or anywhere up in WNC as well!

We are going to hurricane creek on the 12th of this month.

Sent from my iPhone 4 (but you can't tell it's not a 4s) using jeep forum.

Alright we decided on a place and time. It's called hurricane gap, between Marshall and hot springs near the Appalachian trail. We will meet at bojangles in weaverville at 8:30 give or take a few minutes.
I going to ride out there on tuesday or Thursday and see if the trail is open. If it is closed we go to hurricane creek off of i40 near exit 15 and meet at the canton McDonald's.

Oh, so happy I found some other folks in asheville! I live in Candler, grew up in barnardsville/weaverville, so I'm very familiar with the area. Hurricane creek is a good trail, there's another part to it but we haven't found it, 3 times looking. I usually wheel with Hummers, but I'm looking for some more locals!

How often do ya'll go 4 wheeling?

I've seen a grand Cherokee winch an H2 out of a hole that probably cost a drive train and steering system to get it back on the road,
