Anyone live in the NC Triad?

I go to school in high point (from CT) and im lookin for things to do in the Triad. Lookin for a lake or something to do on the weekends when its nice out. Anyone know if Kernersville Lake in Greensboro is any good? heard someone talking about it

there's High Rock lake in Rowan County and Badin Lake in Uwharrie NF

If you're looking for a lake, and you go to HPU, there is a lake right across from you. Oak Hollow Lake.
If you are asking about offroading places, as far as I know, there aren't any legal (nonprivate) wheeling places in the Triad. The best and closest one you'll find will be in Uwharrie which isn't too far from you.

thanks. yeah i know about Oak Hollow but its a water source so you cant swim there. Im gonna have to try high rock lake, that looks sick
