I have a group of about 5 Jeeps from around Louisville, that have been wanting to plan a trip down there. We where wanting to try to figure out something out for the end of next month. However we have been unable to find any info on the place. I cant find maps or trail heads anywhere for the area. Do you have any info or maps about the place? Also would be intrested in planing a trip with people who know the area. most of my group is fairly new to off road with 2-4in lifts and 33s

I dont have any maps of the area however from going there the past 3 years i know the place pretty good. I have a cherokee on 33s and have been up every trail there, also have lockers. It can be fun for every type of rig. Keep me posted the next time you guys plan on heading up there

Yea sounds good. I'll let you know, right now it will probably be late October. Do you know if there are places to camp on the trails? Since it would be a few hours to get there we were thinking abut camping a night and going two days.

Yea there are places to camp at the main trailhead as well as a few caves and rock shelters you can actually drive your jeep right into. The forest service guys like to hide out on saturdays so make sure you have your seatbelt on while on some of the main trails, insurance on your rig is always a plus too however im not sure how hard its enforced.

Enforcement has been very strict recently. Licensed and insured vehicles only. They have had guys up there a lot more lately on the Sand Lick side most likely prepping for enforcement of the closures they are trying to make happen.
