Hey All,

I went out with a few friends to scope out Horseshoe Bend OHV Park today.... didn't have time to trail ride, but Scott from the park took us out and showed us a lot of neat trails..... no way can you do all the trails in a day.... most of the trails are designed for the moderately built Jeep ... there is also plenty of stuff for the people who like to trail ride, There are about 6 rock bottom ravines to climb. Lots of hills, creeks, plus mud pits if you are into that.. I took some pics, but my camera died early into the day :-(

The group that I was with plans on going back on the 28th... if anyone would like to join us, send me a PM. We love to wheel with new people, all we ask is that you have tow points, a working CB, and be family friendly...

Cancer sucks!!!

However, if you or a loved one has it, Louisville has some of the best doctors and treatment centers there are....

Look in your library for a book Titled "Someone I love has cancer" or something like this.... it brought me some comfort when my Dad was fighting cancer.

For DTOR tomorrow a few of us are meeting at the Water Tower at the bottom of River Rd and going up 42. We will meet at 10 and hopefully be on the road by 10:30.

You guys/gals need to schedule a run to Horseshoe Bend OHV Park in Owenton, KY.. it has nice big areas in shade where you could grill, hang out, and trail ride. There are a couple ponds, but I don't know if fishing is allowed or not, never asked. I really haven't seen much of the trails at my group got hung up on Starmount Hollar for about 3 hours , but their appear to be several stock/near stock Jeep friendly trails. There are lots trails to explore, I just haven't been on them all yet.

A lot of Jeep / 4x4 Clubs have a Summer picnic, nice way to get families and S.O. involved in Jeep-n as well as a way to recruit new members, have a fundraiser for Club, and a way to get new Jeep owners/newbie's off road with their Jeep, all wrapped into a nice single event. If you are interested, I can give you details on how all this works.... I know if done correctly, it can be a very successful event.
