Jeep Clubs around Knoxville/University of Tennessee

As the title says, I'm looking for some people to wheel with around Knoxville. I've been at UT for 3 years now and it's starting to drive me crazy to not be able to get a convoy together and head out. Hit me up if you're close.

I'm about 30 miles west of K-ville. Off I-40 at Exit 350.... Kingston, Midtown, Harriman, Rockwood area.

I'm actually heading out tomorrow (Sun. 16th) somewhere near Crossville (Hinch Mountain) to meet a buddy from Tellico area.

PM me and I'll get some more info about the ride tomorrow.

We used to have a club titled "Plum Crazzed".... it is still alive but seriously fractured due to differences of opinions on how the club was to evolve. I think they now meet in Oak Dale, as opposed to Harriman, and still have a monthly "ride".

We (wheelin' buddies, not a club) typically go at least 2 times a month to Windrock (Oliver Springs, Tellico, Black Mountain (Rockwood), Bitter Creek (Harriman), off Airport Rd (exit 340) and others...... even travel into KY.

Here are some Area clubs from the Southern 4WD Association regional club.....
http://www.sfwda.org/clubs.html

There's a few others that aren't associated with Southern but I can't recall their names..... Atomic City(Oak Ridge) is one, I believe.

Jim Tunnell, of Jim's Off-road in Oak Ridge, would know everything you could ask. http://www.jimsoffroad.com/

Here's a link from Jim's website that lists a few local clubs....... http://www.jimsoffroad.com/links.htm

There's lots of wheeling to do around here..... just gotta hook up sometime and go.

We are gonna ride in Windrock most likely, just cause it is close to home.
I won't be 100% positive until saturday after I talk with some people.
PM me if your interested in coming.

We just had a windrock ride yesterday - and it was something else.... If you keep up with this forum you'll find there is a local group of us who get together or a pretty regular basis.
