VA Trails???

I've been living outside Richmond for a while now for work, but I still haven't found any place to go that's within 100 miles of my house. I know out by Staunton there's national parks with trails, but it's too far for a day trip.

Does anyone know of any place to go that's 1 1/2hrs outside Richmond or less?

Thanks.

hey, i live in louisa,
and i go to bald mountain trail up on the skyline parkway.its only about an hour from my place,so it may fall with in you time limits.
its a nice length trail,i'm not sure of the class or anything, but a nice picnic makes it a great day trip...
happy trails and tread lightly

I'm in The Lost Jeepers http://www.lostjeepers.com, we do trails runs once to twice a month, we have some members from Richmond, but where we ride doesn't fall within your travel time. You could follow them to one of our events though. Shoe Creek is about 2 - 2.5 hours from you, as is Lynchburg where we wheel sometimes also.

This is coming up in April near Lovingston, VA. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f327/inaugural-united-four-wheel-drive-association-wheel-483469/

Be well,
Richard
