VA Trails?

Just moved to Charlottesville, and my 6 year old boy loves to go "fowe weelin". Looking for a fun trail that my 2004 factory JGC can handle. Any groups out here that get together?

Most of the trails are going to be over near Harrisonburg, or south near Lovingston.

GWNF near Harrisonburg has a ton of stocker friendly trails.
NovaJeepers organizes a lot of trail runs up there.
They are based in Nova, but many of us Charlottesville folks are members.

Shoe Creek near Lovingston is a stocker friendly trail.

Our club, Rock Crawlers for the Preservation of Future Access (RCPFA) - Powered by vBulletin , leases land in Crozet, only about 10 minutes from Charlottesville. It is private land with a ton of trails ranging from blue to red.

Where do you guys live/work in Charlottesville?

Maybe we should organize a meet and greet in the area.

I'm usually driving a black 4 door JK, if you see me around feel free to stop and chat.

Chris

Hellllllllllllllo Virginia!

You've got places like Potts Mountain if you want to come closer to the Covington area.

...and Oak Ridge, near Lovingston, is always doing things. They're private, but the past home of Jamborees, Camp Jeep, etc. UFWDA and VA4WDA are busy there, and some Jeep clubs (like ours-Southside Jeepers) lease the place for a weekend every year.
Snowshoe Mountain had a big run a few weeks back...

Anyone that's up for a ride this Saturday anywhere mentioned above that's close to C'ville? 2pm or later is ideal, but earlier is possible.
