Va Beach-ers Unite!

Are you from the Hampton Roads area? Love the beach area? Well then, this thread was meant for you!

Post any local clubs you know of. Leave a working link to the website, if one is available. You may post local local wheelin spots that you know of, as long as they are ***LEGAL***. Club meeting times / dates may be discussed here, and anything relating to the local area can be discussed here. Lets keep this family oriented, and work safe.

This list will be updated as the local clubs become known:

We have at least one guy in KMA that is from up around D.C. and another from your neck of the woods. So I guess everything equals out!

We (KMAoffroad.com) meet the first monday of the month at Hall Jeep on Va Beach Blvd. The second floor of the used car showroom at 7pm if anyone wants to check us out.

Put me down for a trip to the OBX!

I attended the October meeting of the Tidewater group. I was impressed with them and they have in their charter a requirement to do enviromental improvements. An example was that they went to Mt. Trashmore before the Stihl lumberjack contest to clean up the park. They are also working on becoming first responders for the Red Cross, so after weather events their rigs are used for damage assessments and possible rescue.

I live by Lynnhaven Mall. Maybe we should plan a get together as a meet and greet. The clubs are great but it's often hard to met/converse with people during a meeting. How about a breakfast some weekend morning? We can line our rigs up side by side and get a nice poser shot....

I'm up for that. That's all I'm really looking for. Meetings and stuff aren't really my thing. As soon as insurance gets me my check from my last Heep... I'll try to set up a date one weekend. See when is good for everybody.

I belong to MPJAI (Middle Penninsula Jeep Assoc). We have our next monthly meeting Feb 1st in Hampton. We also meet every Saturday for a Coffee Run at a local establishment. Basically, we get together and eat breakfast every Sat. Of course, we also go wheeling (OBX, Crozet, Shoe Creek, GWNF, Glouster Mud Bog, Tellico, Paragon..etc. ). We also do Adopt a Highway cleanup once a month and frequent wrenching parties. Matter of fact, I just got slammed by Newport News City Code for having too many Jeeps in my driveway getting worked on all at the same time!! I was informed that I am the most complained about Codes Violator in Newport News because I've always got Jeeps in the driveway in various states of disrepair. I am... "THE VIOLATOR"

I also hang out with a bunch of the guys from DSO (Dark Side Offroad). A more informally organized club also based out of the Newport News area. They are a 4x4 Offroad club and not just Jeep-specific.. also a good bunch of guys. I'm going wheeling at Crozet, Va with them on 24 Feb.. you guys can sign up on their website and tag along.. it promises to be enternaining... skid plating and at least one locker would be helpful but not mandantory. It's time to wake my buggy from its Winter Slumber

I'm in MPJAI as well, i think Besrk covered all that stuff. I am still in the process of trying to get some paint on my Jeep and get it back together and on the road. Add in i'm trying to dodge bullets with DMV and get it registered in California instead of having to deal with Va's DMV and their inspections and such. None of which is going well atm due to work schedule and a pre deployment works ups / training cycle. Im not getting code compliance violations but i am starting to get wife compliance violations to get the thing on the road so i can stop driving her truck.

Once i get all this worked out i'm up for taking it out and breaking it. (Besrk, she's not buying that trail rig only routine i keep bringing up )
