Bobcat in Blacksburg. One end is off of Glade Road. The other ended of off of 460 right at the top of Brush Mountain.

Mountain Lake. Go up to the resort, drive past it. You will come to a fork. Go left. Next, you will come to a large clearing in the woods. There will be two roads here. Go left. It is about 10 miles all the way thru to the Interior in Giles.

Yea, I've been meaning to hit those up one weekend. I'm only 10 or 15 minutes from there.

I know this might be a little of your trail but there is a palce in lynchburg the george washington national forest is pretty good. I've been down there quite a few times in my jeep and my friends rigs...it is pretty fun

A jeep is just the down payment to many accessories that can be done. The possibilities are endless!

Just gotta love a white jeep!

He may be referring to here,

Go up Rte 812, and take the first road right, that's Peavine Moutain. That area used to be known as blue Hole, referencing the old slate quarry there. Most younger folks know it as Hurcules since they bought out the quarry rights and were mining slate there for a few years in the 70's.

Whoever said, "A boat is a hole in the water to throw money in", obviously never owned a Jeep.

It's not. The closest the GW/Jefferson Nat'l Forest is to Lynchburg is in the Elon area, west of Madison Heights. From where you are, going through Bedford and up 122 to big Island and up 501 would be your quickest way there.

I can't think of any National Forest any closer than that right offhand.
