Hey guys. I just bought my first jeep a week and a half ago. Its completely stock as far as I can tell. Its a 94 XJ and I had to do some stuff to get it running again and plan on lifting it and putting larger tires on it. But until then I was wondering if yall know of some good trails for stock jeeps. I live in Henrico, Va. Glen Allen to be more specific

Try Shoe Creek. Its a little over an hour from you. I did it in a stock JK Unlimited with the family onboard. Here's a link to our post

That map is super helpful! And I'm assuming shoe creek is out by Harrisonburg or Roanoke since that's where all the trails are at. To bad there isn't anything closer to Richmond but oh well. Looks like im gunna be planning a day to head out there now haha. Can't wait to go off road for first time!

Shoe Creek is in Lovingston, VA. Big Levels is about 1/2 hr away from that. I'd recommend running both, we did it in one day no prob.

Anyway he said our in Lovingston is where he used to be a trail guide for camp jeep and he was telling me I should head out there too so i plan on heading out there when I get a chance! I can't wait!

FYI: If you run Shoe Creek south to north, (Perkins Mill to the parking lot) pick up Hwy 56 west until you hit the Blueridge Pkwy north. (seasonal NPS road) Fire Road 162 (Big Levels) is on the left, at "Bald Mountain Overlook". It's maybe a 1/2 hour drive, and you shouldn't have to air up or reconnect between them. That's two fun trails in one day, if you're driving in from way out (Tidewater, Richmond, NoVa?). The north end of 162 is coal Rd., but neither of those trails is quick and easy to get to :-( Welcome to Nelson County!

Guys I'd love to join up this weekend. I was going to check out the trail network in GWNP outside of lynchburg but I'll come to you all and make some new friends and contacts. We can do GWNP GRID 30/31 some other time soon if anyone wants.

still meeting at the country store at 10am on saturday?
