The past few times we've been to Shoe Creek, there has been trash on the sides of trails, in the camping areas, and generally anywhere else slobs decide to throw it.. SO we decided a clean-up run was in order! If you would like to participate and give back, please join us!

For those that are wanting to camp, Jeremy (OverEasy) is going to be at the Apple Convenience Store on route 29 in Amherst County sometime Saturday (28th) before heading to Shoe Creek (time not set yet). There's gas, food, bathrooms, etc there. This is the BP/ Apple Mart that is just past the Food Lion on 29. (5-8 mins)

>>Apple Mart location: 1425 North Amherst Highway, Amherst, VA

For those that aren't camping, Shaun (02Xterra from TeamDOHC.org) will be at the above location sunday morning (29th) at 10 a.m.

>>Directions to S.C. from the Apple Mart that I'll be following...

The last couple of rides we went on we had a great group of people, we're wanting the trend to continue!

Hopefully this time we'll have even more!!

PEOPLE SCHEDULED TO GO ALREADY

I don't mind you linking it back to here as long as people understand that this has already been planned and there is a meeting spot setup. My thing is, I (and others) like those wanting to attend to meet up with the original group. I would prefer that if people are wanting to come Sat. and camp, they meet me that Sat. sometime. (still open for s meet time) Those wanting to head out Sun. meet up with Shaun (02Xterra) at the meetup spot that Sun. morning and head out with that group.

These meets (this being a clean up and trail run) are mainly setup for folks to meet people who share the same interest as them. Friends have been made through the previous trips and this should continue!

I really hope this response made sense! Hahaa, i'm getting sleepy. If you wanna pm me or call, just shoot me a pm about anymore info you'd like.

Hope no one minds me bumping this thread.

Thanks XJsportG for linking it over to JF. Some friends and I came up w/ this run after the last time we went out and discovered how bad the trail looked. We got what we could and with the bags we had but unfortunately had to leave some of other peoples trash out there. Some friends and I get together every now and again and plan these little trips just to get out and meet people and enjoy our vehicles and the trails! If you can make it, we'd love to have you out with us, it's always a great time!

I know there was another thread here towards the top that people were wanting to head out there and some questions were asked about this run. If you have any questions feel free to pm me or post here and I will try to answer what I can for ya.

Thanks All!

That's cool, we planned this one so we could do the same! Memorial weekend, camping (if wanted to or not), cooking out, wheeling.... FUN! Besides the last time we were there the trail looked like crap, that's the reasoning behind the cleanup also.

Hmmm, so May first huh? To Shoe Creek? My only thing is I may be working on my rig then... we'll see!

I'm from Rustburg but I go to school at CVCC. I'm not sure if I have seen you or not. I now have my JF sticker on my roof rack fairing.

Ya, I think I've seen the WJ a couple times! I'm always staring it down... LOL!

This is what i'm usually in...

My DD...

My wheeler...

Ever seen these guys, they are good friends that I wheel with right often.
Shaun's 02 Xterra, you may have seen this at CVCC a time or two. He takes classes there.

Sometimes he has his tube doors on.

Drew's WJ...

EDIT: Hope you guys don't mind, I added you both as friends.

I have never done this run, but this might be a good opportunity to check it out.

I am trying to work out my schedule, hope to see you all there.

Sounds good to me! This trail is a pretty good one to get some seat time in on and learn some stuff! If you're a veteran, it's a good ride w/ fellow wheelers doing a good thing!

Guys/Ladies, just to clarify times. . . For those looking to camp, I will be meeting a group at the BP on US29 at 11:00am Sat. the 28th. I will be there for a little bit for those who may be running a little behind. There is a group already looking to camp so his is shaping up to be good times!

For those looking to come out Sun. the 29th, there will be a guy (A good friend, Shaun, in a White 02 Xterra) meeting another group at the same BP on US29 at 10:00am Sun morning. After waiting a few for people who may be late, they will catch up with us who are camping out. Then the clean up/ ride will continue!

Info and directions to meet up spot are all in the OP, if you have any questions please feel free to either pm or post them up and I'll try to answer them for ya!

Thanks for viewing and hopefully some of you decide to join and meet up w/ us!
