This trail is very stock friendly. But when I went, it rained like hell for a couple days before I had gotten there and made the trail very loose and muddy. I'd recommend wait until spring and all the snow is gone, and make sure you bring someone with you to help if you do get stuck somehow or another. There is a little rock section, electrolime made it up but had to use both lockers because it was so slick, so I went around on the bypass, but ended up having to winch myself up that because it was extremely muddy and I was just sliding backwards the entire time. As far as camping, there are several places that people have accomadated for camp sites all along the trail.

How was it? Tell us about it! Take any pics? Did you camp? What parts were difficult or sketchy?

Ain't that the truth. I went back in February and barely made it back out.

How do you think it is now? We're looking at going this weekend.

If it's raining there like it is in norfolk, I'd wait until it dries up a little. If wet, the trail will turn into a mushy muddy hell hole. If you do plan on going when it's wet, better know how to work your winch if you have one.

Like others have said, if it's dry I'm sure it's fine. I was out there right after one of those freakish snowstorms we had in February. I gave up and turned around. Getting turned around without going down into the creek was a super*****.
