Got a few clubs in the area...

Down on the Southside, you've got Tidewater 4Wheelers, No BS Jeepers, KMA Jeepers and probably a few others (sorry if I forgot anyone's club).

Up here on the Penninsula, there's Middle Penninsula Jeep Assoc Inc (MPJAI) and there's Dark Side Offroad (DSO). I belong to MPJAI but all the clubs are full of good people.

Hey Welcome to Lil Creek. Hope you enjoy the base. Im in the same predicament, trying to get hooked up with some jeep clubs/trail guys for some casual running around the portsmouth/norfolk/suffolk/v.beach area. Its time to get my 96 XJ dirty and test it some lol.

DaveV send me a PM when you get up here, most definatly. Im all for some exploring. Ive been here for three years so I know some stuff to do, but the off road and mud scene has so far eluded me.

right now my tj is in storage in my dads. Still stock w/30's. When I go to pick it up or get to va i will be doing a bb and 31 or 32 bfg km2's. It's my daily driver so not looking for any extreme offroading either.

There's also another Club VBJO I am looking to start up with when I get back from deployment and the Virginia Beach Jeepers group on here has some info on off road spots. I won't be back from cruise for a couple months but when I do I'll be hitting as many trails as I can find. I live over by Oceana in VB but I also make some trips down to OBX for some sand wheeling on the beach. Fun ride if you feel like driving a couple hours to get there first.
