GWNF trail directions/closures?

About a year ago I came down Dictum with a group of guys and I think I recall there being these little yellow, diamond-shaped signs that said that the trail was closed in the up direction (or something like that). It hadn't been marked at the top, but if heading up you would have seen the signs. Am I remembering correctly? I'm probably heading to GWNF soon, and would really like to drive up Dictum if I'm allowed to. So does anyone know if that's possible?

Also, does anyone know of any general closures out there? I had heard talk a few years ago of Kephart being closed off.

Lastly, does anyone know if the gate is open at the bottom of 2nd mountain?

Thanks VA guys!

I live like 30 mins fom there...... Dictum as far as I know is OPEN I was there about a month ago. Just be considerate when entering at the persons driveway or if your comin down dont take off like a bat outa hell when u hit pavement. The gate on second I would think would be open due to the fact that its hunting season but I haven't been there yet this season. Call the North River Ranger District I believe is the local station in Dayton.

Has anyone run Kephart recently? It's been a few years for me and I'm hoping the fun parts aren't closed.
