any of you traveled it? is it worth around a 3hr drive?

I've been on it in the summer and it's a pretty fun drive. I personally prefer the blue ridge parkway this time of year to see the colors change but that's just me. The cherohawa is a great place if your looking for something new. It is defiantly different than va's landscaping so it's all a matter of preference if it's worth it or not

This trips kinda for the lady so im thinking the blue ridge plus its only about a hour away, whats the best travel guide down or up the blueridge to you?
