I'm in Arlington and it completely sucks not having a garage to do my own work anymore.

I sold my truck when I moved out here last year and just brought my YJ I6 with me. I've finally gotten around to getting some 33"s and a 4" RC kit for it, but cried when I had to pay a shop to put it on for me even though I'd done that exact lift on several friend's jeeps back home.

Now that I've opened pandora's box with the lift, I need to regear at some point since I'm pretty much stuck driving below 60 mph. Sucks that I'll have to pay someone to do this for me.

check out DIY mechanics in sterling, you can rent shop space by the hour. i have used their shop a few times and REALLY like it. super clean, super nice, and no outdoor wrenching anymore.

if you do have to take it to a shop head over to van dorn exxon or High Tech in chantilly. both shops are top notch and super jeep friendly. the techs at high tech actually wheel jeeps and both built their onw by hand.

Checking in. Just stashed the Jeep at my parents house in SoMd this weekend so I can get some work done on it. I've got a big white XJ with lots of dents in it, usually around the Tysons Corner area.
