Welding Tutor/Demo Wanted

Hi all,

Greetings. I am new to the forum and a new Jeep owner. I have been bitten by the bug and am now trying to plan my build up. It will be a several year build up for sure.

I have seen a lot of stuff on fabrication. And welding looks like a valuable skill. I have never touched a welder in my life and I was wondering if anyone from the Central Ohio area would be willing to give me a crash course/demo in MIG welding. I figure that would let me know if it is something I would want learn. If I like it and think I would be decent at I would start looking to add a welder to my tools. If not, then I don't waste money on something I would not use.

I assume there would be some materials expense, so I would be willing to contribute a small fee. Is $20 reasonable?

Hello Matt -

I am taking a welding class at a local JVS - Joint Vocational School. We
meet once a week in the evening for 3 hours. It is a great class. Cost is
$200.00 and includes the book and all supplies. Check out your local
vocational schools for a welding class.

The unbelievable we can do immediately . . . the impossible just takes a little longer.
