From Columbus you will want to take 23 south to Circleville and then rt 56 east to rt 180. Turn right or south on 180 to Adelphi. At the 4 way stop in Adelphi go straight on rt 327 and 327 will take you to Clark hollow rd in Tar Hollow

Here are the gps cords for the garages. Just copy and paste them into google maps and you can get directions from wherever you are coming from

Yes. We did a trip from Columbus and had a good time. Nothing extreme, I would go again with a group who knows the trails.

Do you think it's safe for someone who's unfamiliar with the trails to do it? Me (LJ, 2.5" lift, 33x10.5 KM2, winch) and my buddy (stock rubicon with 265/75 duratracs) are looking to hit some trails in a couple of weeks and were thinking about heading out there.

The video shows one of many unmaintained township roads which are still public right of ways in Hocking and Vinton Counties. Having said that... You should find someone who knows the area to lead you through the trails. It is very easy to veer off the township roads/trails onto side trails on private property where you may find yourself staring at the business end of a firearm being held by an unhappy property owner.

The Southern Ohio Jeepers Association regularly rides these trails. The have a Facebook group where they organize club rides and impromptu rides. You can go on two club rides without joining the club. You can also ask if anyone one in the Facebook group would lead you.

To give you a better idea of what is there, here is a playlist of 160 or so videos of the trails in Hocking and Vinton Counties.
