Just wondering if there are any fellow Jeepers in the Dayton area, I can't seem to fins much in the way of trails out here, looking for some places to wheel and some people to wheel with!:2thumbsup:
Does anyone know of any good mechanics or places around Middletown/Hamilton to go and look at soft tops or other parts/addons Jeep related. I just moved here and have a serious respect for the number of nice vehicles I've been seeing around here. It seems Ohioans have a healthy respect for Jeeps.........maybe it's the proximity to TNAP......I dont know, but I love it.
if your in middletown there is an upholstery shop on central ave down town. come see me some time i work at the auto zone on central. also if you don't want to come to hooker infested downtown you can always take 73 to trenton, there is an upholstery shop there does top notch work.
wish my deployment hurries up and ends soon. I can meet up with you guys. been wanting to hit haspen. my buddies go there quite a bit. "dirtbikes and a couple rock crawlers"
For those of you that are north of dayton there is a club out of shelby county called The Lone Wolf Jeepers, we usally plan a monthly ride of some sort, either at a park or private land. Plus we are a all breeds jeep club.
Thrashing trails in xenia. its the only legal place to wheel near dayton, i wheel in alot of places around here that arent legal too. But its great and its close 150 or so acres, spent all day there today and definity did some thrashing.
Anyways im in fairborn if you ever wanna check out some spots just let me know. i know of alot of small spots around clark greene and montgomery county.
I hope you get caught wheeling where its not legal.People like you are the reason that they have shut many places down. Also you give the whole off roading community a black eye in a time when we don't need it.Wise up and do something positive for our sport instead of bragging on a forum of your illegal wheeling. In my opinion you are not wheeling you are trespassing.
Who said i was bragging? Anyways when i see a dozen trucks somewhere off the side of the road I join in on the fun. I dont cut fences, open gate, tear up crops or litter alot of times i clean up some of those places. You play by your rules, i'll play by mine. Its a free country cops are free to impound my jeep and landowners are free to shoot me. I dont judge them, dont judge me. By the way I plan on buying some acres in the next year or so and allowing anyone to come free of charge and suggest they donate to some charity or pick up litter or some crap. I dont care about laws saying what I can and cant do with what is mine. You wanna conform go ahead. Ive been all over the country living in vans, on beaches, and in forests doing my best to not conform.
Aloha, and have a beautiful day.
Without permission it is still trespassing. You said you wheel where it is not legal. Its really a good thing you don't wheel in this area landowners do not appreciate trespassers. What makes you think you have the right to use another persons property without permission, you don't have to open a gate or cut a fence to be trespassing. Also just because there are a dozen trucks or a hundred there if no one has permission you guessed it trespassing again. When and if you buy your own land you can do what you want with it until then please stay off others property unless you have permission. We should be responsible for bettering off roading.I really find your non conforming comment to be really funny. If you knew me you would know why.One more thing there is a difference between non conforming and breaking the law.
There is a difference between closed "no trespassing" areas and places where land owners, city/county/state officials, and corporations just dont care but keep its official status illegal so they are not liable. Talking about laws, I've never heard of a law applying to vehicles that I agreed 100% with. And have never worried about breaking them. Call me evil put me on trial and burn me on the stake. Ill stand by my beleifs and actions. Automobiles are a religious to me and are the only ground I consider sacred.
I may be wrong but I don't think anyone on here condones breaking the law.I really hope you don't consider yourself above the law.Like it or not it applies to us all.
This is just wearing out buttons on the keyboard. We are 2 different types and we're just gonna have to live with that. I get ya, i do, but this is worse than politics.
kbarwall I would consider you a keyboard tough guy.I will stand up for whats right and I really don't care if you or anyone else likes it.There is right and there is wrong and trespassing is not only against the law it shows your disrespect for people who have worked hard for the land they have.I won't get into a p*****g match over it.I belong to a couple of Off Road Clubs and we promote LEGAL wheeling. If you don't agree sorry.
no i completely side with you, its just the constant drama on this site that is annoying, you can never win an online argument...it just doesnt work, you can present your argument until your blue in the face but some ignorant people just dont get it and i dont see why one would waste time arging...they are the same people that think body lifts and transfercase drops and dana 35's are good....and thats all i have to say
Its like ohio. with a lot more suburbs and stripmalls. Centerville has become pretty popular these days. Everything around 675 just kinda blew up since the 80s.
