Vandalia, OH here (8 minutes North of Dayton). I just downsized from a 2011 Tundra to a 2011 WK2 and I'm looking to get into some wheeling. I only have a RRO leveling, RRO rock sliders, and OEM size Goodyear Duratrac's so I'm not interested in super deep mud or rock crawling. Has anyone been to Big Maple recently to state whether or not it is suitable for a novice wheeler in essentially stock trim?
Thanks modfox. I haven't been to Haspin this year but I saw that Big Maples was within a reasonable afternoon driving distance. My father and I are looking for semi local places to spend the afternoons wheeling. I do believe we are trying to line up a days worth of wheeling down around Tar Hollow to stretch the legs on my WK2 and his FJ.
I've heard the tar hollow area is awesome, we are thinking about a trip down there this spring. Haven't been to big maples yet. Southington Offroad is pretty cool but can get rough, but the staff knows what's what and there are alternate easier routes.

For anyone in the Central Ohio Area, I have a couple really kool places to wheel, let Me know if you want to get some vehicles together and we can set something up.
Tar Hollow is very mild and there are only a couple challenging areas. But I hear its a very nice ride if you want to just get out and be in nature.

Ohio4x4 trailriders just held a club run at Tar Hollow in January. You add ice and a couple inches of snow it's a whole different set of trails. The clubs novice rides are in April and August. I'm in Newark. Ron
