I got some grilling done yesterday. T-Bones and Denver steaks. 1 well, 2 medium rare, and 1 super rare. Always a challenge.

I think I found a tiny little bit of play in the heim joint on my track bar. Likely a causality from last year's issues with tires and DW. I will be replacing it soon. I also hear a tiny little clicking in the steering box, but all feels and looks tight.

I am staining bathroom cabinets today. :/

Yes, they were awesome! couldn't ask for a better 4th. Never knew the XJ had a "police package"

I also took my truck in for chemo this past week, had to put a stop to some of the cancer on the rockers, rust-o-leum hammered black, brush on.

@jason I was getting 20 mpg in the TJ! With 4.56s, 4.5" lift, 33s, 75 mph and not goin easy in town. Mind = boggled.

We just went to grind stone city (port austin) and got 26 mpg there and back in the JK. Really impressed with that jeep, I can understand why we see so many of them now.

And dang, kurt and ooxj had a bbq in my back yard and I missed out. Damn!

Pretty amazing in the TJ. Best I ever got was 20 MPG with the hard top, stock 30" ATs and 3.73s, going about 65 on the freeway. I think I'm getting better MPGs with 4.56/35s than I did with 4.56/33s. Right around 15 MPG, but every tank has SOME offroad miles on it.

26 MPG is pretty unbelievable though. I think your calculator is broken.

JK's get better gas mileage because 90% of them I see have the hard top on, windows up and air conditioner blasting on warm days.

The JK was with the front half of he hard top removed, doing between 55 and 60 on m53...but it was the computer that gave us those numbers. I didn't hand calc that trip.

Almost mirror finish. Flap disks are fun.
Primer is drying now, finish coat tomorrow. I'm thinking about rubber undercoating the "inside" since there's a good chance it will get regularly mud blasted and hold gunk. It would be great if I can keep any part of my rig from rusting away.

Thanks again to Jason for making this thing work! I will have to take credit for any goofy looking welds though

Missed out on the Sand Lake event today that I wanted to go to. But, once I get this thing on I will be able to go wheeling again a lil bit!!

Your welds looked better than mine. I will take credit for the engineering though.

i parked my jeep after the trolls fall color tour last fall. just pulled it out of the garage a few weeks ago.
i put a new opdg with the "stripperguy mod" in. finally got it road worthy.
took it to oscoda for the week of the 4th. put about 500 miles on it. it was nice to drive it again.
i took the top and doors off for the week. damn them doors are heavy!
thinking about selling the full steel doors, and replacing them with 2pcs soft ones.
sold the hardtop to save weight also. should be lifting it soon. got almost all the parts to lift it.
