I think a shackle reversal kit would solve your spring bending problems.

What speakers are you using? Do they make a big difference?

Im using the cheapest/highest rated 5.25" i could find on amazon. That turns out to be some pyles for $20 shipped. They had about 350 reviews, with an average of 4 stars (out of 5).

Anything will sound better than what i had. The pass. side speaker was dead, and the driver side was starting to blow at higher volumes.

In theory (and its probably the case or else my cheap *** would not have bought them) the 5.25" speakers should sound a lot better than a 4x6 (what normally goes in the dash) for two reasons.

1) Manufacturers make more speakers in the 5.25" size than they do the 4x6, so much better selection of speakers.

2) oblong shapes dont recreate sounds as well as round.

Im just waiting on my new bezel/adapter so i can finish the CD player install. Right now its sitting in this big hole with zip ties holding it from sliding forward and out to the floor lol.

You know you can pick those things up in a store and not wait, Right?

I think my XJ is dead. Or at least more work and money than I want to put into it. I may sell it and use the money towards new seats in my YJ.

Is a 1" body lift going to be enough for me to do a tummy tuck with the 241?

Probably. Depends on how flat you want it and/or your willingness to beat on the tub a little. You could probably clear my skid with minimal BL. 1" or maybe just .5"?

I'd buy / make the skid you want, push the t-case into the tub and see how much further you have to go. Then decide on a BL or hammer time.
