Take the springs out.

Not worth the effort - I've been driving it this way for 3 years, if the fix works all is good, if not we'll pull the track bar and make the bend a little deeper.

Two days off work coming up. Wrenching will commence tonight. Removing the rear axle for the re-gear.

Rear axle is gutted and cleaned up. Went relatively quickly. It's soooo nice working a vehicle where every piece of steel is rusted tight. Made a setup race.

I ordered carrier bearings from my local guy. When I picked them up the other day, he handed me two boxes (which were supposed to be the bearings) and two races not in a box. I finally opened the box tonight, and it was more races. : So I have 6 races and 2 bearings; obviously I need 4 and 4. So tomorrow, I go to get replacements. I am picking up a 41" roll away tool box too. I've needed one for so long and they are on sale. I might get two.
