If you're on the west side of the state, Silver Lake is pretty much the place to be.

I'm in Grand Rapids. Been on here for a little bit. Silver lake is ok. Manistee national forest has some good trails. One trail is called Tin Cup trail. It is about 18 miles long. The manistee trail is quite long but fun when raining. Planning a May 22nd trip to the mounds with a bunch of guys from work.
