UP Michigan jeepers or trails?

I've been wanting to find some trails in the UP for awhile, but haven't tried up there because of a lack of copilot and other vehicles to hit the trails with. My usual trips end up in the Chequamegon National Forest near Lake Superior because of the scenery there and the fact that I've been sticking to forest roads to keep my solo rear end from getting stuck. I'm looking for people and trails along the shore from the WI border up to Houghton. If anybody would like to be a tour guide, let me know. My next trip up north is May 15th to the 18th. I usually make my base in Bayfield, WI and won't be that far from the UP. If anyone else feels like coordinating a meeting up there, send my a PM.
Brian

Brian,, Check out this trail guide http://www.michiganatv.com/orgup.php I have never wheeled the UP before, (will this summer) but Have used their lower michigan guide and found it usefull. For the money I thought it was a pretty good and accurate guide. not to mention that the number of guidebooks for MI are "few and far between". Look carefully before you buy as they make a U P edition and L P edition.

Good luck!

Wow, that mapbook looks like a great starting point. Thanks for the link!
