the first one was at the mounds and the second one was on midland state land a few miles away from the free way.

Oh ****, that looks About how I ended up on state land in Sanford.... Turtle pond area. Great place to wheel after a good rain..

It's off river rd, about 4-5 miles north of Saginaw rd. we camp out there every year for memorial weekend.

Don't get caught out there.
DNR will fine you if the catch you. IIRC that area was heavily patrolled about 15yrs ago. Know some people who were caught in a group out there, didn't turn out to well for them. Officer told them if the judge can't make it in his car you'll get a ticket. The "ponds" was a wild offroad area 20-30yrs ago. Many years back I submitted a proposal to the DNR to keep a "road" open just for 4wd trucks, was about 2 miles long, and came out across the small bridge behind the party store. They weren't interested. Unless things have changed from the early '90s there is no legal place to 'wheel in Midland Co, state land that is.

I am pretty close to this road i should go check this area out sometime. i am from the saginaw area north river road is like 10 minutes from me. it looks like a awesome area to wheel from the picture on the other page.

4.5" Rough Country x series lift kit/ lifted xj 31x10.50 15x8 4"backspacing cragar rims/ trimmed front rear fenders/custom swaybar quick disconnects/custom winch bumper w/ warn winch/custom roof rack/ lights mounted.

anyone interested going wheeling at rocks and valleys orv park this saturday september 1. i am planning on going. if anyone interested in going that would be great.
