Saginaw area anyone?

Is anyone from the Saginaw area? If so, where do you go to wheel? I know there is plenty of mud boggin in the area but I never took to it.

I'm in Midland, but I just bought my 2007 Wrangler a week ago so I can't answer your other questions! I'm headed up north this weekend I might look for my first one.

Welcome to the Jeep family!

I have a place on the south shore of Houghton Lake and I really like putzing around on the state land up there.

I am from the Saginaw area and there is not much of anything close by except the Mounds in Mt Morris which is ok if you are into mud. Other than that Gladwin has some nice easy trails and West Branch/St Helen has a scramble area with a rock crawl along with miles of trails.

Bay City here! Don't forget Rocks & Valleys in Harrison! This is by far the best wheeling spot somewhat local to us. They offer terrain to keep anything from a stocker to a rock buggy happy! There are a ton of youtube vids from there as well. We make "day trips" there as often as possible. It is only about an hour away for us.
http://www.rocksandvalleys.com/index.html

We will be there around 11 am, Sat. July 2nd.

Cjschan, I wish I would have read this sooner I was in Houghton Lake over the 4th. It's difficult to find people to wheel with. My husband doesn't like to go with me because its a rough ride in my YJ and I don't like to go with him in his truck because he drives like a complete psycho. Everyone else I know would prefer to be on the boat or in a tree stand lol. Thanks for the info on this place. I will check it out next time I head to the cabin

Harrison here.
Yeah Rocks and valleys is a good park with lots of diffrent trails and difficulty levels. Ask ronnie to recommend a trail suited to your rig and wheeling ability, he can recommend a challenging trail, that wont leave you with broken parts.
Even though I only live a couple miles from there, I prefer to go 2 tracking and find new trails to explore. Never really got into the off-road-park's circuit.

Mike, your Jeep does look familiar. I worked on Bay Rd for several years.

I have never taken my Jeep to the mounds but I have been back there. It was a blast.
