Jk Need Death wobble help near Troy.

I'm new to the area and need some recommendations for a shop who knows jeeps. I called several dealerships near my house and they hadn't ever heard of the issue. This is my daily driver for me and my wife so I need this fixed the first time and quick, before it happens with her driving. I don't need her to become afraid of the jeep. Any recommendations or help is greatly appreciated.

Is your Jeep lifted at all? Have you recently put new tires on? It could be a number of things for DW. Most people can fix it without having to take it to a shop.

Here is a good link to look at http://www.kevinsoffroad.com/how-to-...-death-wobble/

Just a little south of you. Kevin is a great guy, and will help you out right. If he cant fix it, he knows people in the area that can.

Our unmolested, unmodified 2008 JKU got the wobble at 55k. I fixed it the right way - new steering stabilizer and a for sale sign

If you want to understand the issue, read this: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f96/d...l#post12314298

This is probably the best post I've seen on DW as it relates to our Jeeps. It's a long read, but worth it.

Sorry for the slow response I'm a night shifter and was trying to catchup on some sleep. Any ways the jeep is "unmolested" no lift, stock tires, and no recent changes. We have been considering getting a new one but its nearly paid off, it has the lifetime PT warranty and because its been in Nevada it has nearly no rust. So I plan on giving it to my kid when he turns sixteen. I spoke to a shop near flint and they seemed to be aware of the issue but also seemed like they wanted to sell me some stuff. I have no desire to modify it beyond maybe some slightly larger tires. Also it only has about 46000 miles on it.

You won't have to do an upgrade of any kind, but you will most likely be replacing something...

I dont know first hand, but I've been told these guys are pretty good. They are in Brighton which is about 50 miles or so from Troy. If you use them, let me know how they are.
