Had to drive to cleveland to get it though. Mine is also a DD so I stole my dad's '06 rubicon for the 3 weeks it took to get in done (D30 gearing problems).
I have several guys who come to the park with their DD/ wheeler with 35's and still running a 30 an 35. They just limit your wheeling to stying off the rocks and rough hills. But a dual purpose rig should be careful anyways.

Michigan Off Roading at Bundy Hill Off Road Park - Jerome, MI (4x4, OHV, ORV, ATV, Quad, Motorcycle, Jeep) Then theres Rocks and Valleys, which is up north somewhere. I've never been there, but im pretty sure its about 2 hours away

I'm in Lansing. Hemi-green '79 CJ.

Anybody know solid mechanics who know their way around AMC/Jeep vehicles?

We really should get all the Lansing Jeepers together for a drink, or something. Any takers?

I don't know if he's an AMC expert or not but Ken at AllPro Automotive is awesome. He's a jeep guy himself and is the go to guy in the Lansing area for jeep owners. I would say his area of expertise is custom fabrication.

Here's his website. All Pro Automotive & Off Road

If you go to the "WORK" section you will see my green yj about halfway down where it says "custom bumper and winch installed."

Did anyone come up with a Lansing area Jeep club yet? I see a lot of posts but nothing saying it's up and running. My Jeep is currently in St. Johns, while I'm stuck in Afghanistan for a few more months. Can't wait to hit the trails around Cadillac this summer though. It'd be fun to get local people together for a ride sometime.

Thanx for the head's up regarding All Pro Automotive & Off Road . Ken rocks! He installed Mountain Off-road HD tie-rods (with flip), new pitman arm, and he also squared away some half-assed shackle reversal welds. Prices were very reasonable.

Upon picking up the CJ, I dropped off the '99 Cherokee to troubleshoot the vacuum leak which kicked other mechanic's rear ends. Picked the Cherokee a day later, problem solved!!!!!

I see a lift for the Cherokee on the horizon..........

Damn it spring, hurry up and get here already!
