Kids In The Mud- Sat, November 10

Gonna have a small rig get together to visit Kids In The Mud off road park.

http://www.kidsinthemudd.com/index.html

Any newbies, stockers, daily drivers, or anyone else that wants to come along is welcome. This park is new to most of us so we will be exploring the park and feeling out our comfort levels. Park opens at 10am. You need a flag(dune flag will sufice or a park flag. I have extras i can bring if need be)
My personal plan is to leave Grand Rapids around 8:45am. Im driving there and driving home. No trailer needed i dont think it will be that extreme. My wife and 3yr old daughter are probably gonna tag along(I count on my wife bailing the day before, but they are always welcome). Bring lunch or munches for on the trail, and maybe we can guage interest in a group dinner at a local restaurant after.

Any questions pm me here. Tell your friends. I know this is a jeep forum, but I personally enjoy variety in my wheeling friends. No make/model will be turned away.

PLEASE, PLEASE... have tow points on at least one side(preferably both)
Cb is also highly recommended but won't be life or death for this outing.

Trying to convince my wife we should go but one of their rules is going to make it tough

• Helmets required at all times for all vehicles, all drivers and all riders. Anytime, anywhere, no exceptions and no warnings.

I have a WK2, if I wear a helmet inside this I will have to scoot way down in my seat and there is no way my wife will wear a helmet.

I'm pretty sure that's just a poor choice in wording for their rule book. Inside vehicle with proper role protection and/or a factory hard top, no helmet is needed.

So come on out we'd love to have you. Bring the wife.

If you look at the few pics in the other thread
http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f325/...higan-1400582/
I don't see helmets. I do see females with hats on and ponytails through the back, leading me to believe they weren't pulling helmets on and off.

I'll call to clarify, but can't imagine needing a helmet inside your jeep as long as you and all your passengers have some form of roll protection over everyones noggins.

I was wondering about the helmet thing too, but I should be able to borrow a flag from a buddy. I'll see if I can get the girl friend to tag along too.

I had asked about this before my group went there, the helmet rule is for quads, dirtbikes and that type of vehicle.. We did not need them in our group of Jeeps

Looks fun! If anybody's been there before, is there much for a stock XJ?

I don't know where you're from, but we're already drying up from "all the rain" we got last week. Well see I guess, I'd like to check it out.

Im in MI, i'm just saying if it rains for over a week straight before you go, be prepared to get stuck a lot.. If it doesn't rain a lot you should be ok.

It's a fun place, I'm sure you all will have fun, hope to someday get back there myself when i get another off road toy. If i came across rude, i am sorry, but i was just speaking from experience (because I have been to this park). I'm sure if you are stock, or heavily modified you will have fun.

It's cool, I'm stepping in what your laying down. Lol, it's rained for a day straight now between Allegan and Kzoo... It really doesn't matter how many times I say, "big Jeep, 'go where I want" it won't take all that much black mud to have a stocker XJ buried to the hilt in no time.

My poor little stock 4 cyl TJ on 31's wont be doing anything crazy so it's not like you have to worry about getting left behind lol. I just need a chance to teach myself to wheel (legally).
