I bet the 4.0 would rival most V-8's when it come to torque...

Money doesn't buy happiness, but it buys a Jeep. And I ain't ever seen a sad person in a Jeep!!

So I was doing some thinking, usually not a good thing, but you haven't replaced the fuel pump have you? If the Jeep really is being temperamental, it could be because the fuel pump isn't producing enough pressure.

Sounds like a possible fuel pump, if you can, try and get the pressure of the system tested, I think those 4 cylinders should be running right around 40psi.

Im sure some local shops would be willing to test it, I would call around first though, I know autozone and oreilleys also sell testers for around $50.
