Jeep Leelanau 2012

2012 Jeep leelanau, Saturday June 30th
Haserot Park, Northport Michigan

facebook "Jeep Leelanau" or call John at 231 386 5835.

Jeeps will be on display from 9am until 2pm when we head out. You can expect to see some unique Jeeps, grab a bite to eat and talk with fellow Jeepers and some industry insiders.

The trails are all set from just outside of Northport to just South of Lake Leelanau. The trip should take about 3 hrs with stops along the way to take in the scenery and stretch our legs etc. . Bring snacks, drinks, and a camera! The staff at Dicks Pourhouse is expecting us for drinks and food around 5pm. We then head south to Lavasar Road and trails to Chateau Fontaine. There is no return trip planned at this time.

Are the Trails mild enough for a stock 2012 WK2? I push her pretty hard and she has a couple of battle scars already.

We pre ran the route in a stock 89 YJ and my buddies followed us in My stock 98 1ton GMC and in fact one of the property owners lead us for a while in his crew cab dually!

This is going to be a fun event, 4wd low will be required for climbing steep inclines on washed out two tracks. Light scratches from low branches, a little mud (more if its wet/raining) will be the worst that will be incountered. Expect to be cleaning tall grass from undercarriage and grill.
