Hey man. I grew up in Montague and lived in East GR for a year when I worked in GR.

There's really not a whole lot up that way....but the GF's family still lives up there, and my brother lives in kentwood still, so next time I'm up there I'll let ya know!

I know there is no wheeling around here that is legal. There are trails in Allegan i think. is the closest. I'm just looking for people around here that go to places like silver lake, Bundy, The mounds, R&V, Manistee, Cadillac. Maybe meet up sometime and go wheelin.

If you ever go to he silver lake dunes, let me know - I grew up about 10 mins south of there, and there is a bunch of trails over there I can guide you into pretty simply. nothing crazy, but nice scenery and a good trail ride.

Also, there's quite a few powerline trails up in the big rapids area that you would have a lot of fun on.

I've been to the mounds enough for a while. Rocks and Valleys looks good to me for next time. But I want to know if there is anyone in Grand Rapids or close to. I know lansing is only 40 mins away. Anybody?

I gotta be honest.. I thought for sure there would have been more people posting in this section. Considering how many people we have in SE MI, I though you being closer to some trails and what not that there would be more out that way.

I live in Spring Lake.. right now i have no jeep, but trying to get back into 1 very soon. But I go to Silver Lake in the summer (i live about 45mins from there) another site you might want to check out in our area is greatlakes4x4.com its a forum site, and it seems like there is always someone looking to go wheeling, and people setting up trail rides. If you sign up there i'm Jeep_shaun on that site

Local wheeling spots

I gotta a place local where I test things out, in NE GR. If you have a decent rig I'll take you out there sometime. (Sorry, but some of the guys I took wheeling can't even make it out of the driveway. i:e crazy breakdowns at the gas station) Also, heading out to the CLiffs November 20th if you want to go. Should be a good time, 15 Jeeps or so with the DD offroad crew. Check their website ddoffroad.com. They used to be out of GR.

CJ 7, with the good stuff.
