Redbird open year round

Just got off the phone with lance, the V.P. of operations for redbird, as of now, and looks like the state of indiana will be taking over control of the park, and will be opening it year round on jan. 1st 2009. they are going to have a formal meeting this thursday, but i guess it has already been discussed and the indiana four wheel drive association is involved in making this a reality. i am going to call lance back on friday to find out the outcome of the meeting, but he says it sounds like it will be a go. he did request we get a few people to leave a message here http://redbirdsra.com/index.php?opti...oard&Itemid=37 stating the want of our members to have access to the park year round. you will need to register first to post, but it will only help the chances of this great park being open year round. So let's get to voicing our opinion and show our enthusiasm of making Redbird a year round option.

Yj redbird info

hey guys,Tony Lance here, vice pres. of the redbird management group, as for what the local towns have to offer, Linton has 3 or 4 auto parts stores, plenty of places to eat, they have a few shops that could do repairs to rigs, only 5 or so miles from the park, Dugger has 2 gas stations, one with free air and carwash, also places to eat, only 2 miles from park when at redbird you are only 35 miles from terre haute in, which has a pop. of 80,000 so a lot to offer there, as for trail recovery, no one in the area has a dedicated one , but there are people who would help you out. the group is working with the state to get the park opened up year around, I will have more info to follow, check out our site at www.redbirdsra.com and look at the links section and see some of our sponsors who could help make your stay better. Thanks
