The President of "Jeeps Gone Wild" is giving permission to have a club member host this run at Redbird in Dugger, Indiana. This member is named Fred & is going through a trial to become a regional leader of Indiana for our club. I am letting him host this run to see how well he can represent our club. He is still new but, he has drive to become a regional leader. So, We'll see how well he does and for everyone to be patient on the way he will go about doing this. He does know the park & other offroading area's to wheel at his state. The run will be on Sat the 6th & Sun the 7th in Sept. There will be a camp area close by Redbird and Fred will camp out on the 6th. Everyone is welcome to join and and camp out if you like. If you cannot camp out then come join on one or two of those days and enjoy wheeling with some friendly jeepers. Fred will be a new JeepForum member very soon and I am posting this ahead so, everyone will know about his run. I do not know that offroading park so, Fred said he will make a run there. He also says this offroading park can be pretty difficult at many area but, some areas are easy going. He does know some of the trails but not all so, be patient when he will lead the run. Fred also prefers that it's best that you have some offroading experience because, some trails can be difficult. If you are brand new to offroading, you are still welcome to join. This will be a fun time so, please join in. Fred will give more information about this run as soon as he makes an account for this forum.
If possible: Please have a handheld walkie talkie or a CB. We'll be on Chan 12.
It will be nice if you have one of those so everyone can communicate with eachother
Quick Information on RedBird & the camping area:
It is $10 a day, open only weekends from 9am-5pm. There is NO camping there but there is at Green Sullivan State Forest. It is only a mile or two away. Camping there is primitive but comfortable. It cost $8 a day to camp. We will be right outside of Dugger so there will be a town very close. "For your not so primitive needs."
Fred will maybe making a log-on name called "PlumCrazy" so, Keep a look out for that log-on name. He will be giving his email address if anyone has any extra questions you wish to ask him. If you wish to see his jeep, his picture is on our website under "Members"
