Oh, I sure hope we won't get rained on also.

I just put a brand new soft top & I hope it won't get all scratched up or damaged on the trails

If anyone is heading there from Layfette, we can start a convoy. I'll be spending the night there and we can meet up in the morning.

I'm there, and so is the GF

The creek water was getting a little close to the bottom of my doors on the last trip...

I guess that means a trip through the creek will eliminate my regular power-wash before the haul home.

I'm going to try do to a (mini) "Jeffro95 trail report" for the guys who can't make it this time.

I may have some passengers going this time that can take some pictures/video of the day (assuming he's not standing out in the rain with my camera) we should be able to come up with a good report...

Dryfter,

Thanks for having interest on coming along with us. This will be a small group and quite a few cannot make it for this run. Last time we had a run we had 17 jeepers and it was awesome. This run will be fun yet interesting because of the weather. It's going to be really muddy and wet out. The forecast says it's going to be raining and in the 40's. So, Dress up warm, bring extra clothes, a rain coat and boots. If possible, please being a 2 way radio or a cb so, we can contact eachother on the trails. We look forward to have some new jeepers to join in and hopefully join our club. You are welcome to ask other jeeper to join in if you see some around your area. Well, We'll see you soon and we'll have a blast.

Thank You,
Michael
Club President

By the way... What's your name?

Hmmm....any tips on how to convince the wife to let me go, or better yet, get her and the 14 month old to come along?
I've got a stock 2000 XJ; would that get me around some of the trails? I think that's the only way the wife would come along.

I also have an '86 CJ7 with the 6, dana 300 t-case, 44 out back and the 30 (i think) up front. i could take that if i was alone. any suggestions on my equipment regarding "trailability" or things i should have to make it through most trails? thanks all and i'd like to get involved in a local club

I wouldn't mind joining in as well, but I also have a stock 04 TJ and need to be able to drive it home. Are there trails for stock and absolute beginner?

I think you should be fine in stock Jeeps, i have a WK with a 2" lift and was able to go on all of the trails we did last time. JeepsGoneWild was really great for "stockers" who just wanted to have fun without breaking anything . The key was to go slow and know when to drive around rather than push your luck. there were some larger rocks that I drove around rather than over....just don't have the ground clearance. But there was always a "safer route".
