Jeep parts in NWI scrap yard

Westville, IN - I can get pics of rigs if needed..

3 - CJ7s (78-85): usable set of hard doors, 2 hard tops
1 - CJ5 screaming eagle
1 - willys with hard top and doors
1 - nice 89 grand wagoneer
1 - 91 or so YJ, not too much left of that one.

Hey anything left of the CJ7's or 91 carcass?
I think old doors will still work off of CJ and what type of hard top are those 1 piece or 2?

They had at least 2 CJs left - they've been busy scraping by the looks of things. I did see one hard door while walking through last week - didn't check if it had a twin or not. The YJ is pretty stripped winshield to the front is all that's left, and the frame. Some good parts left to the CJs, but didn't look them over as close this time. The CJ hard doors are 1 piece.

Yes old CJ doors will work - for easier fitment though you want to use the paddle type handles from CJs. You can use the older style handles, but I believe you would have to change you strikers on the tub.

I found a 401 powered CJ there once, should have jumped on that motor while I could.

Still a few jeeps left - they have scrapped a lot of the XJs

Will be heading over there this week again and if any new ones show up, will update this thread.

the red YJ? lol - it's been pretty picked cleaned now.

There was one nice FSJ grand cherokee in the back with the pickup trucks too. I forgot how long it's been since I was there last, hopefully before you, cause I need to pick through some cherokees for misc intake piece I need. Course now that it has rained, and more coming, it will be a nice walk through the yard - lol.

Yeah the red one but I wasn't going to say what part in case there was a poacher out here looking for the same part...Yeah I bought my YJ for work/daily driver and think I jumped the gun in my purchase a bit more than I had wanted. I'm kinda liking the looks of the Cherokee sports, simple. Also I saw one or two Wagoneers and Grand Wagoneers along with a Scout or am I dreaming?

Not sure bout the scout - I'll be heading there this week sometime, and recap all the rigs again for any interested parties. It was kinda shocking too see so many jeeps, especialy CJs - guess cash 4 clunkers kinda got some of them in their. Two other places you can look, if you haven't already:

Archies in South Haven - pretty good guys (cheaper then Pauls on a lot of stuff)
crap - just forgot the name of the other, it's a smaller place - back by Washington Twnshp school

Yeah I started building a CJ, almost had it done, too big and got sick of it. Bought a nice built YJ instead, that needs a little finishing touches, but still usable till I finish.

The place on 130 - you talking about on the outskirts of Valpo, by the compost place? They only deal with 2000 year and newer rigs - thought that was odd.

Went to the PnP once - kinda cool, even with the few dollar cover charge to get inside.
