As for Pizza............
Let's all plan on meeting at Chicago's.
Hey Zakman, sorry we missed Drummond Island this year, I just couldn't get up there with work schedule. We will be at French Lick staying at the Comfort Suites. I believe we are grabbing pizza the first night if you are interested. We have a decent size group going, about five other Jeeps.
My annual thread to see who is going this year, who wants to meet for dinner the first night, where is everyone planning to stay, and general thoughts.
TH night, right? I'm open for some pizza.
Although I have yet to confirm this with Wilstem, my plan is to camp TH night, then I'll be at the French Lick Resort Hotel for the next 2, this being a mini-vacation for the family. My kids are already talking about swimming...
By the time of the event, I'll have made 1 whole payment on the new JK Unlimited. Hoping the stock suspension and Goodyears will be up to the task. Next year I'll at least have a mild lift, tires, and some armor.
My wife and I will be there! We will be at Comfort Suites Thursday night. Pizza sounds good, we are looking forward to meeting some people at our first Jamboree! I just mailed the first payment on the new Rubicon...
What is the "black group"? I have some offroad experience, stock 12 rubicon with a winch. I would like to be in a moderate group but not absolute beginner.
Thanks for your help, looking forward to meeting you.
We will see you there msquardIN! They use different colors for the groups, my son and I usually hang out in the white group which is mostly newbies, we are pretty much stock TJs and enjoy the group and the leader. Black also called the Pirate group "Argh!" does some more challenging stuff than the white group. I forget the other colors but they have groups for all levels.
First thing when you get there is check-in there the trail guides will rate your Jeep, check for tow hooks and a few safety items and then assign a rating to you. Next you can go sign up for a group, normally you keep the same group for both days. The guides are great about making sure you get in a group that challenges you but let's you have fun with your equipment. Your Rubicon should do very well.
Check the thread from last year linked in Zak's post. He has a writeup and pics from the black group on one of the last pages.
