Badlands 1-24-09

So the wife wants me to take her to the off road park for our anniversary. It will be her first time so I don't want to do anything too crazy. Anyone care to join us for some trails weather permitting?

Uh, what's wrong with those two statements........

I'd love to go, especially if there's snow, but it's a no go, still haven't repaired the rig from the last journey down there.

Just messing with you guys...I like to know the conditions before I make the 3 1/2 hour drive. I didn't break anything, just developed a drive line vibration...made the drive home even longer since I couldn't do over 60 mph.

Fair warning, the Jeep is mostly stock except for the tires, I haven't had a chance to put the lift on it yet. Also, this'll be my first time going to the badlands, ands its a 3 hour drive for me to. so yeah... I might need some guidance, companionship.

Southside, by the sox stadium. I alternate between there and the suburbs, Mokena, but usually in the city. Where are you?

Well, here's the plan.............. I would like to meet at the lower parking lot by the canopy and picnic tables at around 10:30am to 11am Badlands time (9:30am to 10am Chicago central time). Badlands opens at 9am Badlands time.

I am in a completely stock jk with at tires. I have been to the badlands a couple of times and have run quite a few trails (kevin's trail, the creek, blue, and green) with no issues. I just want to play it by ear as for where we go and what trails we run. I think a lot of that will depend on who shows up and what they are packing.

I am in southern Illinois and it takes me close to 3 hours to get to the badlands figuring in bathroom stops and breakfast. Don't forget that the badlands is an hour ahead of Chicago time.

Its only a 2.5 hour drive for me. probably around 3 as well with food and bathrooms. This'll be my first time to the Badlands.
