Pick-n-pull in Wadsworth, IL

I was at pick-n-pull in Wadsworth, IL this morning scouting for some parts and just wanted to let everyone know they have a "fresh" 1993 Wrangler, Auto, 6cyl there. Has some decent parts left on it. A sought after family style roll bar in mint condition, seats in good shape, etc.

They also had a 1980 CJ7 that was pretty much a rust bucket, but has the engine, trans, etc still there.

They also had a 91 YJ in the yard as well. That one was pretty beat up, but it still might have some good parts. The body and frame on the 93 is also pretty rusty, but it still has some decent spice interior parts left. They also had a hardtop and a set of hard doors in the lobby when I was there last week.

Yeah the 91 was gone (unless I missed it, but I don't see how). Didn't see a hard top or doors in the lobby either. The 93 had a hardtop on it (pretty good condition), but two of its windows were broken. They guy working there said they have had like 3 wranglers over the past couple months, which is very rare there I guess.

I've been going out there pretty regularly for the last 3-4 years and they usually don't have a lot of YJ's. When they do have one it gets picked clean pretty quick. Last time they had that many YJ's was after Cash For Clunkers. They usually are pretty good on prices too. However, they have been pulling the nicer parts of the last couple of Jeeps (doors, top, etc) and marking the prices up from their normal flat rate pricing because the parts are "rare".

Yeah YJ's are like gold at any junk yard, parts go FAST. It does kinda suck that they pull the so called "rare" parts off like that and mark them up...I mean I know they are in the business to make $$ and all, but it seems kinda wrong that they do that.

I grabbed the grill off that 1993 there yesterday..... someone had already removed it and tossed it under the car that was in front of the Jeep (didn't even notice it at first until I was about to walk away)... so all I had to do was pull the radiator and tranny cooler off and it was an easy $37 grill purchase (very fair price, I was shocked it was that "cheap"). Its a good solid spare for my white YJ, or just another grill to hang on the garage wall for now!

I DID miss that 91 there last week.... I have NO idea how, but I went back there today and sure enough it was there! So currently they have the 91 and 93 YJ's, and one 80 CJ7....
