Less then two weeks for the Two Rivers Jeep Club Safari!

I am not an officer or anything - just a very happy member. In the beginning of our Jeepness, my family and I used to attend the Jeep Jamboree USA events until we hooked up with TRJC. We have been attending the Safari (early May) and the Blast! (early August) ever since. What is also cool about these guys is you can bring out non-Jeep vehicles as well for these two events.

You can check out the website for details - but it is run very similar to a JJ format - breakfast and lunch included by the club, bring along $5 for the box lunch at the bowling alley next door and your food is covered. After paying my $60/yr dues, you get a discount on the events - I can take the whole family of 4 for a weekend of awesome jeeping, including t-shirts for a little over $300. We stay at one of the motels in town for $45/night.

We will be driving down from the suburbs of Chicago in May 10th. Hope to see you there! Last I heard you can still sign up if you havent.

Thorson, myself and about 7 others are heading out Thursday afternoon and meeting up at 1 pm at the rest stop 20 miles west of Pontiac on I55, you are welcome to jump in. 5 trailered and 3 drivers.

You are right on the money, those are some of the best people I have ever wheeled with down there in Pittsfield.

I would recommend anyone who is into Jeeping and wheeling head down to one of their 2 public events--- you will not be dissapointed!

Thanks! We usually head down in the morning, so by 1 we will already be there! I will be flat towing my LJ this time with my YukonXL. My daughter is driving down her cherokee for the first time - and I figure it will be good to be able to tow one vehicle home - just in case. ;-)

Try and find me if you can. I have a yellow LJ rubi, with LED lightbar on the roof for plowing, grey hardtop. My daughter will have her white 97 cherokee, 3" lift on 31s. We will probably hang with Jenny and Hamer Tate for both days just because it is my daughters first time out. *Maybe* I can talk her into the Hopewell trail - but she is not armored at all, no lockers, and if its muddy.... well.... we know how that Pike County mud is...

You guys are awesome! Thanks for plugging the event! It looks to be a really good turn out so far! We will be taking walk-ins but I don't know how many spots will be left.

Just fyi- The bowling alley isn't doing the bag lunches anymore. Their new owners didn't see the benefit to it. Sorry, but there are a couple places in town like Subway and stuff.

See ya Thursday!!!!
