Anyone who's interested can join. See links/comments in previous posts for additional information. To request to join, go to our private Facebook page and click the "Join" button near the top right. This will give you access to our private club page. You must be an active club member though. Active simply means you need to participate - either attend club meetings, join us on some of the outings, help out or attend other events.

Pretty simple.

There are no dues as such, but CB, fire extinguisher, first aid kit are required for membership. Lockers and winch are not pre-requisites. You can get more info at the facebook page

Fire ext and first aid and roadside emergency i have, CB not yet, but I was looking at this:
https://cobra.com/detail/75-wx-st-co...aa-weather.cfm

Anyone have it? I like that it doesn't have a huge box to put in the center console.

I suggest perusing manufacturer's websites for a few models that catch your interest, and then go to YouTube for some reviews. I bought a Uniden Bearcat 880 after watching a review of it by CBRadioMagazine on YouTube. I'm hopefully going to get it installed in a few days.

You can't wrong with Cobra, but generally speaking as far as jeeping goes, you don't need much. I know several people that just have a handheld and it works fine. When you're on the trails your close in distance so as long as you have a decent antenna, you're good to go. Its not like truck drivers that need significant range.

I just sent a request through facebook as well. Used to have an XJ and was a member of Jeeps Gone Wild until I sold it. I just picked up a TJ this weekend. Would be cool to connect with some local Jeepers.

You'll want to create one. I didn't have one until I joined the club either. It is all I use it for. There is a meeting Saturday, October 12th Details are on the Facebook page. We're doing a BBQ mtg at someone's house, so I don't want to post all details here on the public space.
