the front suspension is almost completely pulled. I'm having trouble getting the bolts out that hold the lower control arms at the axle...they're bound up pretty good. the lower control arms are gettig new bushings and a coat of paint. the springs are getting some paint too while they're out.

rear bumper was pulled and is goin under the knife tomorrow. it's getting a proper 2" receiver tube and a place for chains to hook up. it's also getting all it's welds grinded out and redone for strength.

the rear crossmember got a fresh coat of paint too. I'm installing a lunchbox locker this weekend. anyone done it before? anyone want to help? let me know!

Dust

How did the weekend work Go? I would of liked to help but had issues at home with one of our dogs!

It went alright. I had some trouble finding the right bolts for the bumper but other than that, things went pretty easy. Here's what I managed to get done:

1) I bought a used spare and got that mounted it's rim
2) Painted the rear bumper after its mods and installed it (it still needs the gas tank dropped so I can add 4 more bolts for strength)
3) Installed the front springs with some leveling pucks
4) Pressed new bushings into the front control arms
5) Installed new track bar
6) Installed steering box skid
7) Greased all the joints up front

Tore into my XJ Dana 30 today to get my locker out of it. I then pulled the brakes and axle shafts out of my TJ's Dana 30. I need a prybar to pop the carrier out though so I had to stop for the night bc I don't have one. Here are some pics I snapped before turning in for the night...

Finally done with the rear bumper! I dropped the gas tank last night and installed the last 4 bolts. I also bought a new D-ring holder for the hitch.

I still have to pull the carrier out of my front axle and install the locker and then put it all back together. I'm hoping to get that done tonight. Wishful thinking!

I need to drop my gas tank to put my new gas tank skid. How much of a pain was it to drop?

honestly, it really wasnt bad at all. I borrowed a motorcycle lift jack and that made it extremely easy. I'd say the toughest part is just supporting the tank as you unbolt it. be careful with the lines that are attached to the tank though. some of those fittings are snap ons and you can't disconnect them without the right tool. I was lucky and didn't have to disconnect any of them
