Cliff's and the wife's liberty:)

I have been building and modding foxbody mustangs for years. Always liked Wranglers but always thought I would lose intrest since I thought there wasn't a place near by to offroad them.

So the wife springs this idea on my to build a Wrangler for a change. Something we can remove the top and get ice cream with the kids as well as do some mild off-roading.

I have never gone offroading besides the fun I had during last winters snow storm My questions is, does Cliff's have any light trails that a stock 02 liberty could handle. Just to get a taste of it? To see if it's my thing before spending the money on a wrangler. I am in Batavia so I think Cliff's is about an hour or so from me.

I wouldn't, but i know others have. I think the badlands would be a better place for a liberty, especially if you have never been before. Your chances of doing some damage are much higher on the average trail at the Cliffs, and there are more than enough trails to keep you busy for a day at the badlands. Take the wife and kids, go camping, make a weekend out of it. It would probably be cheaper in the long run. I am out of commission for a little bit longer, again, but if you still haven't been out in a month or so, pm me.

I went to the Cliffs last weekend and a stock Liberty wouldn't make it long. There were a couple lightly modded Grand Cherokee's and they were having a hard time.

I've been to both badlands and the cliffs. If you are very careful with what trails you choose at the cliffs you will be okay, this will be a very limited number of trails.

I think you would have more trails to choose from at the Badlands, there are a lot more green trails there.
