My offroading experience has been somewhat limited so far - I've gone to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes park twice and that's about it for now.

Hiya John! Fellow Coastie here. Stationed out at LORSTA Dana, IN. I can't tell you about living in that area...not that familiar with it myself, but I can talk to my dad and get back to you on that. You should come on out with Michael and the gang to the Badlands Apr 12th. It'll be a blast!

To the OP: My family is all up in the SW burbs, Frankfort/Mokena/Tinley Park area where I grew up, and I'm up there about twice a month to beat upon my kids

Bolingbrook, right at I-355 and I-55.

87 YJ (recently replaced the XJ...) Having bought it only recently, I haven't had it off pavement yet but that is soon to change. We used to take the XJ up to Wisconsin though. Plenty of dirt and mud to slog through up there.

Joliet here, new KK ready for some fun. Picked it up Saturday, messed around on Sunday.

Where are the Badlands I hear/read about? I've also heard about a place not too far West of Morris...?

The Badlands are in Attica, IN.

The Cliffs Insane Terrain is in Marseilles, IL.
