Thanks, Mramos.
Yes there are many nice jeeps on this forum.
Not only am I new here, but this is my first jeep.
Funny thing is that I've always wanted one and bought it without ever having ridden in one.
I am definitely not dissapointed!

You want the truth? Or what I tell my better half?

It ended up being a whole lot more than I planned, but once started just seemed to mushroom. The engine was a bit much but didn't seem so bad in the beginning. All told, a little over 23k in additions at this point. Looking back, it's hard to imagine doing that as there are still some things I am considering doing. But for now, trying to cool things off a bit...

I have a build thread somewhere if you're interested. Need to update it a bit but it covers most of the major mechanical work at this point.

Thanks, better that on the back. Tried an idea one of the guys had at the Jamboree and mounted it on the top of the fairlead. Made this custom mounting bracket, got everything all nice and put together, and.. The jack would stick out beyond the front bumper. After rubbing a couple of trees down the front bumper, I figured this was not a good fit either.
