I'm from Pleasant Prairie, WI (Kenosha County). No places to legally play around here - best to head to Mt. McCaslin in Crivets, WI.

Any clubs south of Madison in the cheese state?

Milwaukee here too... I'm a senior engineering student at the Milwaukee School of Engineering - originally from Appleton, WI area.

The SE WI group sounds like a great idea that was mentioned in this thread... It'd be nice to have a group of guys to do some local riding with. But, like already mentioned, I'm not sure the amount of trails real close...

I was just thinking the other day, anybody know of any good dirt road stretches or other lesser-developed public roads just to get out on a ride and enjoy some fall color? Beautiful time of the year to be on a dirt road...

My brother went to MSOE for a while but then switched things up.

Not dirt roads but the southern unit of the kettle moraine by Eagle is a great place to go enjoy the colors. Take 94 west and 67 south and then just puts around on the roads. These were my stomping grounds when i was in high school.

Nice. I camped Kettle Moraine South earlier this year, so I can just imagine how nice it is now. Thanks!

And I don't blame him for changing his mind in regards to MSOE... I was in too deep (financially mostly ha) to change when I first thought about it, but sometimes I wonder what if I had to do it all over again...

He was originally going to be a computer engineer but changed his mind and went to MATC instead.

It should at or just past peak down there right now too.

Did you camp at Ottowa or the other campground?

Yes, Ottowa campground. Small, but nice. Really good mountain bike trails too. Had a good time. Bong Rec area is suppose to be good too I hear... I was looking for one last camping trip this year but it's getting kinda late and temps are really coming down at night, so we'll have to see.

Bong isnt too bad more prairie there. The surrounding area around Ottowa lake I think has more to offer.

How do you like your XJ SDH? I had a '99 2 Door that was my first vehicle... sold it when I moved to Milwaukee and didn't need a vehicle my first few years of college. I loved it. The inline 6 is obviously a great motor. I had a 2" spacer lift and 31's, brush guard and KC's, magnaflow exhaust, a few other small things. Sometimes I regret selling it - the TJ is definitely a different vehicle. But I love it too - and building up a Jeep is always the best part, so I'm enjoying my TJ.

I should try to dig up a photo of my XJ, for old times sake ha...

Love it so far. going to bed line the roof this weekend with any luck. I dont plan on doing much with it since I plan on it being my DD for years to come. I love the I6 4.0. My old truck have a 3.0 V6 the added power is nice ut its not as good on gas as my truck was.
