Its about 2 1/2 hours going about 10 over, last time I went it was 2 in the morning with no traffic and I made it in 2 hours. Was going way over the speed limit though.

Well I get to join the Jeep owners of the world! Picked up a new 2009 Wrangler X (flame) last night! Driven all of 11 miles - so I am really new at this! The ride is far better than expected (so far). I am looking forward to the Jeep. I think it should be great fun (summer - soft top down) and winter with 4x4 capabilities. From Kohler - east side of state near Sheboygan. I love the JeepForum website. I am also a member of My350Z.com - informational site but a lot of nasty flaming going on over there! Hope to see you guys around Wisconsin!

Madison Jeep Clubs

This may seem a bit bold, but...

For you Madison folks, there are a couple of good Clubs here in Madison.

One is Four Lakes 4 Wheelers and they have been around a loooong time.
4L4W is a Member of the Wisconsin 4WD Association.

The other is Mad City Jeep Abusers Group, and they have been around since 2005.
Membership in MCJAG includes a Membership in the Wisconsin Off-Highway Vehicle Association (WOHVA)

Both good Clubs.
More info on the web at:
http://4l4w.org (Four Lakes)
http://MCJAG.org (MCJAG)

The reason I bring this up is, to me anyway, it makes sense to join an already existing Club and to expand it's Membership and influence. Also, you get face time with real people. People who can help you with your hobby and visa versa.

Also in Madison..

bought a 93 XJ 4 door that runs great with a straight body but undercarriage rust. plan on a semi-decent restoration (on a major budget but i know it can be done) and also a lift as all the stock components are rusted and in shambles. anybody have a work area and would want to help from time to time for some pizza and beer?

I'm from Madison. Silver dub with 3" lift, custom taillights, CB and vanity plates. I hang around mostly the west side, or Stevens Point/Wausau (multiple job locations). If you see me and have a CB, hop on ch19 and ask for me!

2003 WJ Ltd, 3" IRO w/ OTK + JKS discos, 245/70R17 BFG KM2s, JCR sliders, ProtoFab rear bumper, lots of electrical mods.
my build thread; my Jeep, my Twitter, my blog.
